🎟️ General / Show Info

  • What is Beach Floyd?

    • Beach Floyd is the Ultimate Pink Floyd Experience — a Virginia Beach–based tribute band dedicated to recreating the timeless music of Pink Floyd through powerful live performances, immersive visuals, and full-length themed productions that blend music and film in a way no other tribute band does.

  • What makes Beach Floyd different from other Pink Floyd tribute bands?

    • While most tribute acts focus purely on the music, Beach Floyd takes the experience to another level by synchronizing live performances with classic films. From The Wizard of Oz to Alice in Wonderland to 2001: A Space Odyssey, every show is a carefully timed audiovisual journey designed to make you feel like you’re inside the music.

  • What’s a “synchronization show”?

    • A synchronization show is a performance where Pink Floyd’s music is played live in perfect sync with a film. The band performs every note live while a classic movie plays behind them — meticulously timed to align scenes, emotions, and lyrics with the music for a surreal, immersive experience.

  • How long is a typical Beach Floyd performance?

    • Most shows run for approximately 2 and a half hours, with a brief 10-minute intermission between sets.

  • What songs or albums do you play live?

    • We perform a wide range of Pink Floyd’s music spanning their entire catalog — from the early psychedelic years to The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, and beyond. Most shows feature a blend of iconic hits and a few deep cuts for the die-hard fans. Unless we’re performing a themed or album-specific show, our set-lists change from night to night — inspired by the crowd, the atmosphere, or simply how the moment feels.

  • How early should I arrive before showtime?

    • We recommend arriving about an hour before showtime. That gives you plenty of time to grab a drink or bite to eat, check out the Beach Floyd merch table, and maybe even have a quick pre-show chat with one of the band members. Plus, showing up early ensures you get the perfect spot in the crowd — so you don’t miss a single moment of the experience.

  • Are Beach Floyd shows all ages?

    • Most are all ages unless the venue specifies otherwise. We recommend checking the event page for each show for exact age restrictions.

  • Do you sell tickets at the door or only online?

    • Tickets are available online through each venue’s site or Ticketmaster page. Some venues also sell at the door, but advance purchase is strongly recommended — many of our shows sell out early.

🗓️ Upcoming Shows / Booking

  • How can I book Beach Floyd for a show or private event?

    • Booking inquiries can be sent through our website’s contact form or directly via email. We work with theaters, festivals, and private events throughout the East Coast.

  • What kind of venues do you typically perform at?

    • We play a mix of performing arts theaters, music halls, and large clubs.

  • How far will the band travel for performances?

    • We perform across the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast, from New York to Florida — and we’re expanding further each year.

  • Do you perform at festivals, theaters, or outdoor events?

    • Yes. Our show translates beautifully to festivals and outdoor settings.

🎬 Production & Experience

  • Do you use video synchronization for every show?

    • Not every time. The venue must have proper video capabilities — either a projector or LED screen — to support our synchronized film shows. We only perform these cinematic productions when specifically requested by the venue, as they require additional personnel, gear, and setup time. For all other performances, we still deliver the full live band experience with high-quality sound, lighting, and the signature Beach Floyd atmosphere.

  • What films are currently part of your synchronized series?

  • Will you be performing “Dark Side of Oz” / “Echoes of Wonderland” / “A Merry Pink Floyd Christmas” / “2001: A Floyd Odyssey” again?

    • Of course! Keep an eye on our Events page or follow us on social media to see when and where these shows will return. We typically don’t perform the same specialty production twice in the same area within a single calendar year — that way, each performance remains a unique and highly anticipated experience. We like to space them out throughout the year to keep things fresh and special. A Merry Pink Floyd Christmas is reserved exclusively for the holiday season, bringing that nostalgic, heartwarming magic to fans every December.

🎸 Band & Background

  • Who are the members of Beach Floyd?

    • Beach Floyd features a rotating lineup of top-tier regional musicians, each dedicated to authentically recreating Pink Floyd’s sound with precision and passion. Learn more about each member HERE.

  • When was Beach Floyd formed?

    • The band was founded in 2016 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

  • What inspired you to start the band?

    • The goal was simple: to honor Pink Floyd’s legacy not just through sound, but through experience — merging live performance, film, and emotion to create something truly immersive and different.

  • How did you come up with the idea for your synchronized shows?

    • It started with Dark Side of Oz — the legendary fan theory pairing The Wizard of Oz with The Dark Side of the Moon. After realizing how powerful that concept could be live, the band began designing new synchronization experiences that no other band has ever tackled, giving fans that same bewildered and immersive experience with different cinematic pairings.
